This is the Moment for Action

As a conference director at CPAC Great Britain, I am incredibly proud to welcome you to London as we launch this landmark event. Running from 16 to 18 July, this is far more than just another political conference. It marks a deliberate, strategic shift toward uniting our movement around delivery, not mere debate.

Moving Beyond the Diagnosis

Britain is currently facing profound, systemic challenges:

• An economy that is failing to deliver for working families.

• Cultural pressures that steadily erode our shared identity.

• Institutions that feel increasingly remote from the concerns of ordinary people.

For too long, the centre-right has excelled at diagnosing these problems but fallen short on coordinated action. CPAC Great Britain changes that. This is a forum for doing, not just thinking.

Uniting Grassroots Passion with Enterprise

This event bridges a historical divide, uniting our grassroots movement with leadership and business communities in a way few platforms ever have.

We are bringing together the grassroots activists who have been on the front lines in communities across the country, alongside parliamentarians, policy experts, and entrepreneurs who understand the realities of wealth creation and service delivery. The goal is simple: turn shared values into tangible outcomes.

We are already seeing the spark of hundreds of incredible collaborations. From policy roundtables connecting think tanks with local campaigners, to business leaders exploring how to back community projects that strengthen families, the momentum is real.

Crucially, a new generation is stepping forward. Energised by the prospect of contributing to something larger than mere protest, young people are finding a movement that equips them with the ideas, networks, and practical pathways to make a genuine difference in politics, business, and civil society.

The "Do-Tank" Philosophy

My adjacent work as a director at the Centre for Economic and Social Reform (CESR) embodies this exact approach. We operate as a "do-tank," not a talk shop.

Our mission is to import and adapt best-in-class solutions from around the world:

• Innovative technological solutions from successful international reformers.

• Educational approaches that unapologetically prioritise excellence and character.

• Economic policies that reward enterprise while fiercely protecting the vulnerable.

We focus on identifying what works, tailoring it to British circumstances, and building the robust coalitions needed to implement it. This is how we construct a coommon sense ecosystem that actually achieves results, rather than just shouting about the problems into an echo-chamber.

Standing on the Shoulders of Giants

None of this would be possible without the pioneers who laid the groundwork. I want to pay special tribute to Anne Widdecombe, whose courage, clarity, and unyielding commitment to principle have guided so many of us.

I also want to thank Charlie Kirk, whose tireless work in building a dynamic, youth-focused conservative movement in America has shown exactly what is possible when energy meets organisation. This is their movement: one rooted in conviction, broadened by coalition, and now taking firm root here in the United Kingdom.
